     -ABC 12 News is coming to MPHS Friday, December 21st for their School Spirit morning show from 5:30-7am in the auditorium. They will be featuring our fine arts groups, Student Senate, and National Honors Society. If you have any questions about the wavier needed for students to participate please contact Liz Busch by emailing

    -MPHS is hosting a canned food drive now through December 20th. All food items will go to people in need in our community. This is a competition between the classes. The class that donates the most canned food items will receive $500, second place will receive $200, third place will receive $100, and fourth place will receive $50. This is a great opportunity to win money for your class for school activities! Donations can be taken to class advisors classrooms or the Principals Office. 

         -Seniors: Mrs. Lunsford (room 426) and Ms. Germian (room 205)

         -Juniors: Mrs. Haas (room 105) and Mrs. Trawick (room 115)

         -Sophomores: Ms. Torres (room 217) and Mrs. Carey (room 204)

         -Freshman: Ms. Dexter (room 218) and Ms. Wischmeyer (room 605)

    -We are hosting a Toys for Tots drive! Drop off bins are in the Principals Office and the GI-Tech Office. Donations are accepted now through December 19th. The 2nd hour class that donates the most toys wins holiday cookies!

    -Anyone interested in playng softball, there will be open gyms on Sundays in December from 6:00-8:00 P.M.

    -Mt. Pleasant High School's Winter Collage Concert will be on December 13th at 7:00 P.M.

    -There will be no school December 24th-January 2nd due to winter break.

    -Tutoring is available after school Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Media Center and Wednesdays in the cafeteria.
