Our classes had a special guest in the Library, Mrs. Renata Borton, our
Native American Advocate. This is Native American month. She has been teaching us about Native American heritage, and how to say clan animal names in Anishinabemowin.
Thank you to all of you who have been labeling your students items. We have been able to keep the Lost and Found under control and get the items back to your students. Please keep labeling! We appreciate all of your help!
We celebrated Kindness Day this week! Take a look at what 4th grade did to acknowledge the day!

November is Homelessness Awareness Month and here at McGuire, we want to help bring awareness of homelessness and housing insecurity in our communities. Student Council is partnering with United Way to raise money for Gratiot County Hope House through a coin war challenge called “Coins for a Cause”! United Way is committed to matching all funds raised (up to $10,000)! Students can bring in their spare change (or any donations) beginning on Monday, November 18th to Tuesday, November 26th. The classroom that raises the most money will win a pizza party from United Way!
