Afternoon Parent Pick-Up Update for Nov. 24–25
On Monday and Tuesday (November 24–25), Fancher staff will be piloting a new afternoon parent pick-up setup. All grade levels will now be dismissed from the front of the building along Kinney Avenue.
Please review the attached diagram to see where your child will line up under this trial arrangement.
For 5th grade students, this is a change from their usual dismissal location. Staff will do their best to identify vehicles and use radios to call students to their pick-up locations to help the process run smoothly.
Thank you for your cooperation as we explore ways to make our pick-up process safer and more efficient for all students.

"☕Grounds for Growth" Parent Workshop Series
Beginning this October, we invite you to join Mr. Aquilina and attend “Grounds for Growth”—a casual time designed for parents and caregivers to connect, learn, and grow together as a school community. Each session will last about 30 minutes, may occasionally feature guest speakers, and will be structured as a focused conversation rather than an open forum with Q & A.
Sessions will be held at 8:45 a.m. in the Fancher Elementary Cafeteria on the following dates. You are welcome to drop your child(ren) off at 8:40 and then join us right afterward. Coffee and baked goods will be provided as we come together to learn more about Fancher, partner together, and strengthen our community for our kids.
Complete the following RSVP should you wish to attend our first session on October 10th, entitled Sparking Success: Understanding MTSS at Fancher. RSVPs Due October 7 at 9:00pm

Dear Fancher Families,
Fancher Elementary conducted our first fire drill of the school year today. Students did an excellent job following expectations and exiting the building safely and quickly. This was a great first practice, and we will continue to hold regular drills throughout the year to ensure everyone is prepared in the event of an emergency.
Thank you for your continued support.

Good afternoon! Since there is no Fancher Flyer this week, we wanted to provide the following information.
On Thursday, September 18th, Fancher will be hosting Anthony Grupido for an assembly about the "Power of Words." This presentation was made possible by Community Mental Health for Central Michigan. The Power of Words is an educational magic show that teaches lessons about kindness, resilience, and how our words affect what's around us. Students will have the opportunity to interact with 11 different magic routines! Important messages are woven throughout the show in a way that resonates with elementary minds. Have a wonderful weekend!
